User:Electron Bot (temporary admin rights for my bot)[edit]

Electron Bot (talk contribs blocks protects deletions moves rights)

Electron (talk contribs blocks protects deletions moves rights)

I need temporary admin rights for my bot to delete all articles and categories from Category:Беларуская (there are more than 1500 arcicles) which were moved already to Belarusian Wikisource -> [1], more -> here. I am a trusted user on Commons, and an editor on pl-wiki and pl-wikisource. As Wikimedia user I have about 40.000 edits (to sum up on all wikis, see: [2]) and more than 33.000 on Wikia projects). I am familiar with the bots that I use often on my Polish Wikia sites -> Ogród Petenery as Electron Bot user and on Polish PrePedia -> [3]. I suppose that one week (7 days) will be enougth time to do this job unhurriedly. Also please, if this request is aproved, to add the bot flag for my bot. Thank you in advance. Electron Smiley kabelsalat.gif <Talk?> 09:46, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

  • Support - I have no real problem with this, the user has been around since 2009 and is experienced enough to do this. It has been a while since this was proposed and somebody needs a temporary admin bot to do this job eventually; it could be a current admin, several have bots, but if Electron is willing to do the job, I say flag his bot and give him a temporary bit. Electron, how long do you think you'll need the bit from when we give it to you to when you finish the job?--Doug.(talk contribs) 20:42, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
Sorry for my long delay with the answer. But I did't look here for long time. Thanks for your support. As I sad I think that ca one week (7 days) will be enougth time to do this job unhurriedly. If my request is approved please to inform me on my pl-wiki talk page, here -> w:pl:User talk:Electron. Electron Smiley kabelsalat.gif <Talk?> 15:55, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Symbol support vote.svg Support Ankry (talk) 09:15, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
    • Wow, this is still open?! It's apparently still needed. I wonder if User:Electron is still available to do this and still has a functioning bot?--Doug.(talk contribs) 05:32, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
      • Maybe, we have wrong number of `crats? (Should be larger - to fasten decissions in such cases, or smaller - to leave decisions to stewards) @Zyephyrus: what is your opinion? Ankry (talk) 08:13, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
        • I think the number of crats is good now. I just wasn't aware of this discussion until now. I suggest we ask Electron whether he still wants to do this and then immediately grant the flag. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 11:05, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Votes for removal of rights[edit]

This areas is for votes to remove rights, either for inactivity or for misuse of rights (or any other reason). Please vote/comment on whether you think that the users below should keep or lose their respective user rights. Unless otherwise noted, users who have multiple rights will only have the rights under the particular section removed (i.e. a user with both admin and bureaucrat rights who is nominated for removal of bureaucrat rights, will retain their admin rights). However, normally bureaucrats who lose their admin rights will also lose their bureaucrat rights. Removals of most rights require a Steward, after a discussion is closed with a result of removal, the closing editor should post a request on meta.

Vote for removal of administrator privileges[edit]

This section is for removal of admin rights ("desysopping") If you have been listed here due to inactivity, but intend to resume admin duties, please indicate this so that others can re-evaluate whether you should be desysopped. Admins who are desysopped due to inactivity are encouraged to resume administration whenever they wish, either by talking to a crat or initiating a request above. Admins who do not respond may be automatically desysopped after 30 days.

Eclecticology (talk contribs blocks protects deletions moves rights) - (last edit 22 December 2011, last log action 24 March 2011) - CrossActivity - YAEC - SUL - Luxo
  • Decrat due to inactivity. This user's last edit dates back to 22 December 2011 and last log action to 24 March 2011. –BruTe 18:20, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
    • Still interested, but have been active on other sites and available when required. Eclecticology (talk) 09:28, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Keep I think contributors who serve temporarily and very much in sister projects, as Yann or as Eclecticology for instance do, ought not to be desysopped, because they know how to use the tools, having the same tools there, and they show they care for the wikimedian projects who are a whole, and so are neither indifferent nor inactive. --Zyephyrus (talk) 15:46, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
Eclecticology and Dovi being still very active in other parts of the project, keep both, per Doug: active somewhere and can be found when needed. --Zyephyrus (talk) 08:28, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
  • Keep per Eclecticology then. –BruTe 17:35, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Keep I no longer support the idea of de-sysopping those who are active on other wikis. We are a small wiki with few non-standard rules. We need to have many sysops with many languages who are active somewhere and can be found when needed. That being said, I note that Eclecticology's last edit is now 18 August 2013 and last log action is still 24 March 2011. They have edited only 7 times since this proposal was made, including their response above, all in 2013. Nonetheless, I support keeping them as a crat for the reason best stated by Eclecticology themself, above. This nomination has been open for over two years and should be closed. I have not closed it because 1) user resumed inactivity and 2) I wanted to make this comment ;).--Doug.(talk contribs) 18:23, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
  • keep per Zyephyrus, -jkb- (talk) 00:45, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
  • keep per above, --C.R. (talk) 07:53, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
  • keep --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 14:30, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
