Hello, and thank you for your contributions of Peter Kropotkin's work in Greek. The French original work is certainly in the Public Domain, but I don't know about the Greek translation. Could you please let us know who translated into Greek and when that was first published. We need to make sure that the translator's rights are protected. Thank you. Hello!! This work (wich is a translation of "The conqust of Bread") has been cooperatively translated into greek and it is released under the GFDL. Actually the work is not completelly polished yet and the perfection of it will hopefully continue. I was planning to provide this information once I had finished uploading it. Is there something "official" we should do about it? Dr_A.
- Thank you for your reply. There is no "official" way for doing this. What is most important is to put it where people will find it, and you will not be plagued the same repeated question from those of us who do not understand Greek. Thus, the best place would be at the beginning of the main page for this work.
- I would like to make a friendly suggestion on another point. I see that the page Πρόλογος leads to two different versions(?) of the prologue. I would think that rather than creating a separate page just to to this you might put both links from the books main page thus:
- I believe that there is at least one other page where you have proceeded this way but it is more important for Πρόλογος because that is such a general title that could apply to very many works. Eclecticology 01:19, 17 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Thanks for your comments/suggestions. Yes, indeed some chapters have two different versions. As you probably noticed, there is still a lot to be done in the text and I haven't completely figured out the formating rules yet (I am afraid that I will have to resort to the instructions!). Ok. I changed the Πρόλογος page according to your suggestions. Is there a way to actually delete pages? I want to do the same for the other pages with dual versions but I don't know how to do that without ruining the numbering. Thanks.Dr_Absentius
- I've deleted the page in question. Deleting a page requires administrator status. This is easily acquired if you indicate that you would like this privilege. Because anybody can edit these projects, we need to feel that you are a serious contributor before he can delete pages. Unfortunately there are too many people out there who would delete pages as a kind of game or other silliness. Having someone who can manage the Greek language pages would be a great asset.
- I understand perfectly that reading instructions is a last resort. I often find that instructions are poorly written and confuse me even more. :-)
- Compare the following:
- Chapter 1
- version 1
- version 2
- Chapter 2
and
- Chapter 1
- version 1
- version 2
- Chapter 2

Your administrator status is now in effect on Wikisource. This will allow you to delete pages that are no longer needed. For now I don't see any need for a formal process as long as people are able to use common sense.
Before you delete any page please check "What lonks here" to make sure that you are not breaking any links, and repair those links that would become disrupted. At the Wikisource:Administrator page I have shown you as speaking Greek and French. Let me know if you can write in other languages. The purpose for this is to build up a list of People who can approach newcomers in their own language so that they can be helped as contributors.
Don't worry about being bothersome, It is often better to discuss things than having people annoyed when you do things without warning. Eclecticology 01:58, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)
