@Ankry:, see this edit, year of translation = 2020: is this OK für PD? -jkb- (talk) 15:55, 7 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

@-jkb-: Thanks for pointing this out. I was convinced that the uploader is the translator. Let's give them few days to explain. Ankry (talk) 18:00, 7 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Just noting for the record since the conversation happened elsewhere: This is effectively a Wikisource translation. The contributor had previously translated it offline, and then uploaded it to the Internet Archive, which is what created the confusion. There is now VRT/OTRS verification that the contributor is the same as the uploader at Internet Archive (see the file at Commons). They had originally intended the translation to be available under a pen name, which is what is used in the author field of the header template. Since the file was kinda-sorta previously published at IA one could argue this is the right usage; but at enWS I would have considered this a Wikisource translation that should have the translator set to "Wikisource" and possibly credit the contributor on the talk page (see s:Template:Textinfo).
I should also note that the contributor is entirely new to Wikisource and has been jumping through far more hoops and obscure technical hurdles than I would have had the patience for when I was new to wikis. I've tried to keep track of this since they first tried to contribute their translation on enWS last year, and they've run into pretty much every weak point in our software tools, processes, polices, and volunteer capacities. Any normal person would have thrown up their hands in disgust and given up long long ago. That they've kept at it until Muintir Bhaile Átha Cliath is finally finished is a feat. Major major kudos to Leibide for going above and beyond to give us this awesome work; and a big thank you to all of you that have helped to make this happen!
