عشق و مستی کا جنازہ ہے تخیّل ان کا
ان کے اندیشۂ تاریک میں قوموں کے مزار
موت کی نقش گری ان کے صنَم خانوں میں
زندگی سے ہُنَر ان برہَمنوں کا بیزار
چشمِ آدم سے چھُپاتے ہیں مقاماتِ بلند
کرتے ہیں رُوح کو خوابیدہ، بدن کو بیدار
ہند کے شاعِر و صُورت گر و افسانہ نویس
آہ! بیچاروں کے اعصاب پہ عورت ہے سوار!
