بے ذوقِ نمود زندگی، موت
تعمیرِ خودی میں ہے خدائی
رائی زورِ خودی سے پربت
پربت ضعفِ خودی سے رائی
تارے آوارہ و کم آمیز
تقدیرِ وجُود ہے جُدائی
یہ پچھلے پہر کا زرد رُو چاند
بے راز و نیازِ آشنائی
تیری قندیل ہے ترا دل
تُو آپ ہے اپنی روشنائی
اک تُو ہے کہ حق ہے اس جہاں میں
باقی ہے نُمودِ سِیمیائی
ہیں عقدہ کُشا یہ خارِ صحرا
کم کر گِلۂ برہنہ پائی
