بچۂ شاہیں سے کہتا تھا عقابِ سالخورد
اے ترے شہپر پہ آساں رفعتِ چرخِ بریں
ہے شباب اپنے لہُو کی آگ میں جلنے کا نام
سخت کوشی سے ہے تلخِ زندگانی انگبیں
جو کبوتر پر جھپٹنے میں مزا ہے اے پِسَر!
وہ مزا شاید کبوتر کے لہُو میں بھی نہیں
