ہے یہ فِردوسِ نظر اہلِ ہُنَر کی تعمیر
فاش ہے چشمِ تماشا پہ نہاں خانۂ ذات
نہ خودی ہے، نہ جہانِ سحَر و شام کے دور
زندگانی کی حریفانہ کشاکش سے نجات
آہ، وہ کافرِ بیچارہ کہ ہیں اُس کے صنَم
عصرِ رفتہ کے وہی ٹُوٹے ہوئے لات و منات!
تُو ہے مَیّت، یہ ہُنَر تیرے جنازے کا امام
نظر آئی جسے مرقد کے شبستاں میں حیات!
