فقر جنگاہ میں بے ساز و یراق آتا ہے
ضرب کاری ہے، اگر سینے میں ہے قلبِ سلیم
اس کی بڑھتی ہوئی بے باکی و بے تابی سے
تازہ ہر عہد میں ہے قصّۂ فرعون و کلیم
اب ترا دَور بھی آنے کو ہے اے فقرِ غیور
کھا گئی رُوحِ فرنگی کو ہوائے زروسِیم
عشق و مستی نے کِیا ضبطِ نفَس مجھ پہ حرام
کہ گِرہ غُنچے کی کھُلتی نہیں بے موجِ نسیم
