مشرق کے نیَستاں میں ہے محتاجِ نفَس نَے
شاعر! ترے سینے میں نفَس ہے کہ نہیں ہے
تاثیرِ غلامی سے خودی جس کی ہوئی نرم
اچھّی نہیں اُس قوم کے حق میں عجمی لَے
شیشے کی صُراحی ہو کہ مٹّی کا سبُو ہو
شمشیر کی مانند ہو تیزی میں تری مَے
ایسی کوئی دُنیا نہیں افلاک کے نیچے
بے معرکہ ہاتھ آئے جہاں تختِ جم و کے
ہر لحظہ نیا طُور، نئی برقِ تجلّی
اللہ کرے مرحلۂ شوق نہ ہو طے!
