سمجھا لہُو کی بوند اگر تُو اسے تو خیر
دِل آدمی کا ہے فقط اک جذبۂ بلند
گردش مہ و ستارہ کی ہے ناگوار اسے
دل آپ اپنے شام و سحَر کا ہے نقش بند
جس خاک کے ضمیر میں ہے آتشِ چنار
ممکن نہیں کہ سرد ہو وہ خاکِ ارجمند
