دور ان سے جو بے اثر نہ ہوئی
آئی بجھنے کو اپنی شمع حیات
شب غم کی مگر سحر نہ ہوئی
شب تھے ہم گرم نالہ ہائے فراق
صبح اک آہ سرد سر نہ ہوئی
تم سے کیونکر وہ چھپ سکے حسرتؔ
نگہ شوق پردہ در نہ ہوئی
