ستارگانِ فضاہائے نیلگوں کی طرح
تخیّلات بھی ہیں تابعِ طلوع و غروب
جہاں خودی کا بھی ہے صاحبِ فراز و نشیب
یہاں بھی معرکہ آرا ہے خُوب سے ناخُوب
نمود جس کی فرازِ خودی سے ہو، وہ جمیل
جو ہو نشیب میں پیدا، قبیح و نامحبوب!
