وہ صاحبِ ’تُحفۃالعراقَین،
اربابِ نظر کا قُرّۃالعَین
ہے پردہ شگاف اُس کا اِدراک
پردے ہیں تمام چاک در چاک
خاموش ہے عالَمِ معانی
کہتا نہیں حرفِ ’لن ترانی‘!
پُوچھ اس سے یہ خاک داں ہے کیا چیز
ہنگامۂ این و آں ہے کیا چیز
وہ محرمِ عالَمِ مکافات
اک بات میں کہہ گیا ہے سَو بات
“خود بوے چنیں جہاں تواں برُد
کابلیس بماند و بوالبشر مُرد!”
