جلوۂ حُسن کہ ہے جس سے تمنّا بے تاب
پالتا ہے جسے آغوشِ تخیّل میں شباب
ابَدی بنتا ہے یہ عالمِ فانی جس سے
ایک افسانۂ رنگیں ہے جوانی جس سے
جو سِکھاتا ہے ہمیں سر بہ گریباں ہونا
منظرِ عالمِ حاضر سے گُریزاں ہونا
دُور ہو جاتی ہے ادراک کی خامی جس سے
عقل کرتی ہے تاثّر کی غلامی جس سے
آہ! موجود بھی وہ حُسن کہیں ہے کہ نہیں
خاتَمِ دہر میں یا رب وہ نگیں ہے کہ نہیں
