تنہائیِ شب میں ہے حزیں کیا
انجم نہیں تیرے ہم نشیں کیا؟
یہ رفعتِ آسمانِ خاموش
خوابیدہ زمیں، جہانِ خاموش
یہ چاند، یہ دشت و در، یہ کُہسار
فطرت ہے تمام نسترن زار
موتی خوش رنگ، پیارے پیارے
یعنی ترے آنسوؤں کے تارے
کس شے کی تجھے ہوَس ہے اے دل!
قُدرت تری ہم نفَس ہے اے دل!
