ہر چند کہ ایجادِ معانی ہے خدا داد
کوشش سے کہاں مردِ ہُنَر مند ہے آزاد!
خُونِ رگِ معمار کی گرمی سے ہے تعمیر
میخانۂ حافظؔ ہو کہ بُتخانۂ بہزادؔ
بے محنتِ پیہم کوئی جوہر نہیں کھُلتا
روشن شرَرِ تیشہ سے ہے خانۂ فرہاد!
