پالتا ہے بیج کو مٹّی کی تاریکی میں کون
کون دریاؤں کی موجوں سے اُٹھاتا ہے سحاب؟
کون لایا کھینچ کر پچھم سے بادِ سازگار
خاک یہ کس کی ہے، کس کا ہے یہ نُورِ آفتاب؟
کِس نے بھردی موتیوں سے خوشۂ گندم کی جیب
موسموں کو کِس نے سِکھلائی ہے خُوئے انقلاب؟
دِہ خُدایا! یہ زمیں تیری نہیں، تیری نہیں
تیرے آبا کی نہیں، تیری نہیں، میری نہیں
