منظر چَمنِستاں کے زیبا ہوں کہ نازیبا
محرومِ عمل نرگس مجبورِ تماشا ہے
رفتار کی لذّت کا احساس نہیں اس کو
فطرت ہی صنوبر کی محرومِ تمنّا ہے
تسلیم کی خُوگر ہے جو چیز ہے دُنیا میں
انسان کی ہر قوّت سرگرمِ تقاضا ہے
اس ذرّے کو رہتی ہے وسعت کی ہوس ہر دم
یہ ذرّہ نہیں، شاید سِمٹا ہُوا صحرا ہے
چاہے تو بدل ڈالے ہیئت چَمنِستاں کی
یہ ہستیِ دانا ہے، بِینا ہے، توانا ہے
