This page collects requests for deleting specific articles from Wikisource. If you want a page deleted for copyright reasons please list it at Wikisource:Possible copyright violations. If you think a page should be deleted for any other reason, please list it here so it can be discussed. Articles remaining on this page should be deleted if there is no significant opposition. Use {{delete}}.

If requesting deleting any pages to be moved to language subdomains, please try to have edit history imported to the destinations. Asking any active importers or administrators there is preferred. Otherwise, global sysops and stewards may be able to import.

July 2017[edit]

The pages in the category already exists at Assamese Wikisource. please delete them

I think বেটুপাত should remain. I started deletion of others. Ankry (talk) 08:17, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
Also Author:বিষ্ণু প্ৰসাদ ৰাভা does not seem to be imported. Ankry (talk) 12:46, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
This one is done. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 08:39, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

September 2017[edit]

No author, no source.

It is an English text looking rather like a user created article than a source text. Also, it is in English: all English language texts are not appropriate here and should go to enwikisource. Blossfeldia liliputańa (talk) 10:33, 16 September 2017 (UTC)

The fragments are worth being kept, but the English text surrounding them look like original research to me. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 16:44, 24 September 2017 (UTC)
Then move to Wikiversity?--Jusjih (talk) 02:44, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
Fine with me. Otherwise, split the historical fragments from the other text. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 13:35, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
@Blossfeldia liliputańa:, @Jusjih:, @Ooswesthoesbes:: Sources, including editors or authors if known, are given. The English parts are the contexts for the Norn fragments, and are from the sources and not user-created. There's no OR (well, except finding and giving sources, and deciding where to cut off the context as it's irrelevant to the Norn parts). Additional remarks:
  • Maybe a template could be used for the source, like there are Template:Textdaten & Template:GBS for Low German and de:Vorlage:Textdaten & de:Vorlage:GBS (and further templates for other services).
Compared with some other texts, e.g. The Lord's Prayer in several langs, it doesn't seem to be general practice at some Wikisources (excluding e.g. the German Wikisource) to name sources, which is a bad habit and should be changed...
  • Maybe the fragments should be moved into separate articles, like Norn (Northern Antiquities, 1770), as there is also a corrputed ballad and as there are more sources or editions.
  • As mentioned at Talk:Norn, some parts had to be removed because of Wikisource and it's prevention from saving... A bit more (from sources like Google & Google) can be found at: (half-wikified, e.g. without "|-" in the table).
PS: This post had to be changed too...

January 2018[edit]

Unused after all English works have moved to English Wikisource, should we rename it to "PD-India-CWMG" per en:Template:PD-India-CWMG for any Gandhi's texts written in languages lacking separate Wikisource subdomains, or should we delete it?--Jusjih (talk) 18:19, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

I'd say, if we know we've got any of such texts, then we can model it after the template. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 10:17, 16 January 2018 (UTC)
We likely have. But IMO {{PD-US-1923-abroad}} should be rather used for them istead of this dedicated template. So I suggest to delete this unused one. Ankry (talk) 12:48, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
Deleted. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 08:38, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

February 2018[edit]

Path grant[edit]

Move to English Wikisource?--Jusjih (talk) 05:55, 25 February 2018 (UTC)

That looks like the best option indeed. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 12:20, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
The text seems to exist already in Just without images. I suggest deletion. Ankry (talk) 12:10, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
[1] - [2] - The same user has added this page. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 09:18, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
Maybe delete here after adding images on English Wikisource?--Jusjih (talk) 05:45, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
I'm not familiar with policy on images, but that sounds like a very good idea :) --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 09:27, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
en:Wikisource:Image guidelines.--Jusjih (talk) 01:39, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
Looks like they are allowed there. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 12:04, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

I added a notice on the talk page on If no reaction, I'll delete this page next week. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 10:00, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Deleted. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 08:40, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
