PROVINCIAL ORDINANCE NO. 191-2015
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE POLICIES AND FEES OF THE CAROTID DUPLEX SCAN PROCEDURE AT THE PANGASINAN PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL, THEREBY AMENDING PROVINCIAL TAX ORDINANCE NO. 1-2012 BY ADDING PAR. 1.2c AND 1.2d UNDER SECTION 46 (a) (1.2) THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Provincial Health Office, through the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital, has submitted to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan a policy proposal and costing for the use of the Carotid Duplex Scan at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital;
WHEREAS, Carotid Duplex Scan (CDS) is a specialized procedure that evaluates the bilateral internal carotid arteries in patients who are diagnosed to have acute cerebrovascular accident. It remains the primary initial imaging scan in the diagnosis of Internal Carotid Artery (ICA) stenosis;
WHEREAS, the Carotid Duplex Scan is an important equipment by the Province that could further enhance the delivery of health care services of the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital to the people, especially the underprivileged, at a reasonable price;
WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan deemed it proper to pass an ordinance providing the policies and fees of the Carotid Duplex Scan Procedure at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital;
