I take the first part of the first sentence, d’eiriġ an cailín. When? Pupil answers: Ar maidin. Now give me some variants.

1. D’EIRIĠ an cailín ar maidin.
tráṫnóna.
Dia Doṁnaiġ.
sa tsaoġal.
in áirde,
etc.
2. RUG sí isteaċ bacóg móna.
cliaḃ móna.
cliaḃ préataí.
gas cabáiste.
an leanḃ,
etc.
3. ĊUIR sí an ġríosaċ ar leaṫtaoiḃ.
an ġríosaċ as.
an ġríosaċ le ċéile.
an poll-deataiġ tré teine.
an teaċ amuġa,
etc.

And so with the other sentences. Next taking the latter part of the sentence, I invite the pupils to predicate various things of it:—
