EXTRACTS FROM THE LIBRARY RULES


1. BORROWERS.—Adults- are entitled to draw books by filling out an application blank duly approved.

2. CARDS.—Each borrower is entitled to two cards which must be presented when books are borrowed. Duplicate cards will be issued after thirty days upon payment of ten centavos for each card lost.

3. NUMBER OF VOLUMES, -Two books at a time may be drawn. Extra books not to exceed six at any one time may be drawn on payment of ten centavos per book.

4. TIME.—Seven-day books for seven days only. All others 14 days and once renewed for the same time, No exchange of books may be made oftener than once every twenty-four hours.

5. FINES.—A fine of five centavos per day including Sundays and holidays will be imposed for books kept overtime.

6. TEACHERS.—Regularly appointed teachers may draw five books at any one time, provided that not more than two be fiction. Teachers may retain books (except fiction) for four weeks with privilege of renewal for two weeks.

7. PROVINCIAL READERS.—Two free cards will be. Issued to persons living in the provinces on payment of a postage deposit of from four to ten pesos to cover postage charges, unless the cardholder can call and return the books. They may retain them for four weeks with privilege of renewal for two weeks.
