سوز باطن کے ہیں یہ سب جلوے
آگ روشن ہے لے چراغ جلا
نہ چلا دل پہ زندگی کا فریب
سخت لوہا اس آنچ سے نہ گلا
کہہ رہا تھا گدائے راہ نشین
جو بھلا تھا ہوا اسی کا بھلا
وہ مرا مدعا سمجھ کے رہے
ضبط فریاد سے نہ کام چلا
راز ہستی نہ کھل سکا اس پر
دل جو اپنی ہی آگ میں نہ جلا
کیا بہاروں کا اعتبار اے ہوشؔ
ہر نفس تاک میں ہے برق بلا
