ہر لمحہ عطا کرتا ہے پیمانہ سا اک شخص
آنکھوں میں لیے بیٹھا ہے مے خانہ سا اک شخص
اور اس کے سوا انجمن ناز میں کیا ہے
ہے شمع سا اک شخص تو پروانہ سا اک شخص
خاموش نگاہوں میں قیامت کا اثر تھا
گزرا ہے سناتا ہوا افسانہ سا اک شخص
اک حسن مکمل ہے تو اک عشق سراپا
ہشیار سا اک شخص ہے دیوانہ سا اک شخص
ہم جلوۂ اصنام سے بیزار ہیں لیکن
ملتا ہے وہاں روح صنم خانہ سا اک شخص
