کاش سنتے وہ پر اثر باتیں
دل سے جو کی تھیں عمر بھر باتیں
بے سبب تیرے لب نہیں خاموش
کر رہی ہے تری نظر باتیں
کوئی سمجھائے آ کے ناصح کو
سن سکے کون اس قدر باتیں
اس کے افسانے بن گئے لاکھوں
میں نے جو کی تھیں عمر بھر باتیں
دم الٹ جائے گا عزیزؔ عزیزؔ
رہ نہ خاموش کچھ تو کر باتیں
