چاہیئے دنیا نہ عقبیٰ چاہیئے
جو تجھے چاہے اسے کیا چاہیئے
زندگی کیا جو بسر ہو چین سے
دل میں تھوڑی سی تمنا چاہیئے
تاب نظارہ ان آنکھوں کو کہاں
دیکھنے والوں سے پردا چاہیئے
مجھ کو دیکھو اور میری آرزو
اک حسیں اچھے سے اچھا چاہیئے
وہ بہت دیر آشنا ہے اے جلیلؔ
آشنائی کو زمانا چاہیئے
