تم ندی پر جا کر دیکھو
جب ندی میں نہائے چاند
کیسی لگائی ڈبکی اس نے
ڈر ہے ڈوب نہ جائے چاند
کرنوں کی اک سیڑھی لے کر
چھم چھم اترا جائے چاند
جب تم اسے پکڑنے جاؤ
پانی میں چھپ جائے چاند
اب پانی میں چپ بیٹھا ہے
کیا کیا روپ دکھائے چاند
چاہے جدھر کو جاؤ افسرؔ
ساتھ ہمارے جائے چاند
