پیمان وفائے یار ہیں ہم
یعنی ناپائیدار ہیں ہم
خاک سر رہ گزار ہیں ہم
پامال جفائے یار ہیں ہم
نومیدی و یاس چار سو ہے
اف کس کے امیدوار ہیں ہم
کس دشمن جاں کی آرزو ہے
جو موت کے خواست گار ہیں ہم
تو ہم سے ہے بدگماں صد افسوس
تیرے ہی تو جاں نثار ہیں ہم
وحشتؔ خاموش جل رہے ہیں
گویا شمع مزار ہیں ہم
