وہ نہ آیا کبھی ادھر افسوس
غیر کا ہو گیا مگر افسوس
ان کو ہوتی نہیں خبر افسوس
آہ کرتی نہیں اثر افسوس
جب سے وہ مے نہیں ہے پہلو میں
غم کدہ ہو گیا ہے گھر افسوس
اپنے کوٹھے پہ وہ نہیں آئے
آج نکلا نہیں قمر افسوس
یوں ہی روتا حقیرؔ وہ جاتے
مجھ پہ آتا انہیں اگر افسوس
