ندی کے اس پار کھڑا اک پیڑ اکیلا
دیکھ رہا ہے ان جانے لوگوں کا ریلا
یوں تیری انجان جوانی راہ میں آئی
جیسے تو بچپن سے میرے ساتھ نہ کھیلا
جنگل کے سناٹے سے کچھ نسبت تو ہے
شہر کے ہنگامے میں پھرتا کون اکیلا
پہلی آگ ابھی تک ہے رگ رگ میں باقیؔ
سنتے ہیں کل پھر گاؤں میں ہوگا میلہ
