مری شام غم کو وہ بہلا رہے ہیں
لکھا ہے یہ خط میں کہ ہم آ رہے ہیں
ٹھہر جا ذرا اور اے درد فرقت
ہمارے تصور میں وہ آ رہے ہیں
غم عاقبت ہے نہ فکر زمانہ
پئے جا رہے ہیں جئے جا رہے ہیں
نہیں شکوۂ تشنگی مے کشوں کو
وہ آنکھوں سے مے خانے برسا رہے ہیں
وہ رشک بہار آنے والا ہے اخترؔ
کنول حسرتوں کے کھلے جا رہے ہیں
