مرحلے زیست کے آسان ہوئے
شہر کچھ اور بھی ویران ہوئے
آس لگاؤ پہ ہر اک شخص سے لاگ
تھی نئی بات کہ حیران ہوئے
وہ نظر اٹھنے لگی دل کی طرف
حادثے اب مرے ارمان ہوئے
آپ کو ہم سے شکایت کیسی
ہم تو غافل ہوئے نادان ہوئے
دل وارفتہ کی باتیں باقیؔ
یاد کر کر کے پشیمان ہوئے
