قید سے پہلے بھی آزادی مری خطرے میں تھی
آشیانہ ہی مرا صورت نمائے دام تھا
واہمہ خلاق اور آزادی حسن افزا سرور
ہر فریب رنگ کا پہلے گلستاں نام تھا
ضعف آہوں پر بھی غالب ہو چلا تھا اے اجل
تو نہ آتی تو یہ میرا آخری پیغام تھا
دیدۂ خوننابہ افشاں میرا ان کے سامنے
بے خودی کے ہاتھ سے چھوٹا ہوا اک جام تھا
