علم میں جھینگر سے بڑھ کر کامراں کوئی نہیں
چاٹ جاتا ہے کتابیں امتحاں کوئی نہیں
ظلم ہے با وصف مہر اس کو کہیں نا مہرباں
آسماں سے بڑھ کے سچا مہرباں کوئی نہیں
لکھنؤ دلی انہیں شہروں پہ کیا موقوف ہے
ہر جگہ اہل زباں ہیں بے زباں کوئی نہیں
ہے مثل مشہور دست خود دہان خود ظریفؔ
ہوٹلوں میں میہمان و میزباں کوئی نہیں
