عبث ہے شوق لڑکپن میں ظلم ڈھانے کا
جوان ہو کے گلا کاٹنا زمانے کا
اسیر میں تو قفس میں ہوں اک زمانے کا
خیال ہے نہ چمن کا نہ آشیانے کا
فلک کی خیر نہیں ہے مری عداوت میں
مٹا رہا ہے اسے غم مرے مٹانے کا
ہمیں یہ رشک کہ عالم رقیب ہے اپنا
انہیں یہ ناز کہ آیا ہے دل زمانے کا
جگرؔ شباب مٹا ہم مٹے محبت میں
ابھی تلک نہ مٹا شوق دل لگانے کا
