ضبط سے دل نزار رہتا ہے
اندرونی بخار رہتا ہے
یوں تو دل کو کبھی قرار نہ تھا
اب بہت بے قرار رہتا ہے
قطع امید ہو تو صبر آئے
روز اک انتظار رہتا ہے
مایۂ زندگی سخن ہے نظرؔ
شعر ہی یادگار رہتا ہے
