شمع رہگزر
زیست بے اختیار گزری ہے
جوں نسیم بہار گزری ہے
دل میں برپا قیامتیں کرتی
نگہ شرمسار گزری ہے
ساغر و ساز دور ہی رکھیے
ورنہ یوں بھی بہار گزری ہے
زمزمہ سنج و زرفشاں نکہت
پھر صبا پر سوار گزری ہے
کیا گزر گاہ ہے محبت کی
خود بہ خود بار بار گزری ہے
اک در شہوار صد بستاں
پھر لب جوئبار گزری ہے
ہائے شیرینیٔ لب لعلیں
مسکراتی بہار گزری ہے
وائے طوفان سینۂ سیمیں
دختر کوہسار گزری ہے
زندگی کی جمیل راہوں سے
خود اجل شرمسار گزری ہے
