شب وصل کیا مختصر ہو گئی
ذرا آنکھ جھپکی سحر ہو گئی
نگاہوں نے سب راز دل کہہ دیا
انہیں آج اپنی خبر ہو گئی
بڑی چیز ہے طرز بیگانگی
یہ ترکیب اگر کارگر ہو گئی
الٰہی برا ہو غم عشق کا
سنا ہے کہ ان کو خبر ہو گئی
کئے مجھ پہ احساں غم یار نے
ہمیشہ کو نیچی نظر ہو گئی
نمایاں ہوئی صبح پیری جگرؔ
بس اب داستاں مختصر ہو گئی
