شب وصال ہنسی آتی ہے مقدر پر
وہ ہم سے روٹھ کے سونے چلے ہیں بستر پر
وہ سخت جاں ہوں کہ قاتل ہے جان سے عاجز
کبھی گلے پہ ہے خنجر کبھی ہے پتھر پر
چلیں گے کعبہ کو زمزم پہ دھو تو لیں زاہد
بہت شراب کے دھبے ہیں دامن تر پر
مریض عشق سے تنگ آ کے چارہ گر نے کہا
اسے بلاؤ یہ مرتا ہے جس ستم گر پر
شب فراق دل بے قرار دور رہے
تڑپ سکیں گے نہ ہم دونوں ایک بستر پر
