سکوں پذیر جنون شباب ہو نہ سکا
شگفت موسم گل کامیاب ہو نہ سکا
اڑائے برق و گل و لالہ نے بہت خاکے
مگر کوئی مرے دل کا جواب ہو نہ سکا
وہاں ہم آرزوئے خواب عیش کیا کرتے
جہاں قیام بمقدار خواب ہو نہ سکا
بدل گئیں وہ نگاہیں یہ حادثہ تھا اخیر
پھر اس کے بعد کوئی انقلاب ہو نہ سکا
وہاں پیام کی گنجائشیں کہاں سیمابؔ
جہاں سلام مرا مستجاب ہو نہ سکا
