سنگ طفلاں فدائے سر نہ ہوا
آج اس کوچے میں گزر نہ ہوا
ہم بھی تھے جوہر گراں مایہ
پر کوئی صاحب نظر نہ ہوا
امن عالم میں کیوں نہیں یا رب
اس کے قابل مگر بشر نہ ہوا
بے کسی پردہ دار درد ہوئی
خیر گزری کہ اپنا گھر نہ ہوا
قدردانی کی کیفیت معلوم
عیب کیا ہے اگر ہنر نہ ہوا
سر جھکائے جو آتے ہو وحشتؔ
مگر اس بزم میں گزر نہ ہوا
