انہیں کچھ اور بیگانہ بنا کر لوٹ آئے ہیں
پھر اک ٹوٹا ہوا رشتہ پھر اک اجڑی ہوئی دنیا
پھر اک دلچسپ افسانہ سنا کر لوٹ آئے ہیں
فریب آرزو اب تو نہ دے اے مرگ مایوسی
ہم امیدوں کی اک دنیا لٹا کر لوٹ آئے ہیں
خدا شاہد ہے اب تو ان سا بھی کوئی نہیں ملتا
بزعم خویش ان کو آزما کر لوٹ آئے ہیں
بچھے جاتے ہیں یا رب کیوں کسی کافر کے قدموں میں
وہ سجدے جو در کعبہ پہ جا کر لوٹ آئے ہیں
