نہیں یہ عہد اور ہے ساقی
اہل یورپ کا دور ہے ساقی
کی ہے کوشش انہوں نے خاطر خواہ
پائی ہے مدتوں میں ہند کی راہ
کر کے زحمت جو آئے اتنی دور
محض ترویج بادہ تھی منظور
جو مسلماں ہیں امت انگریز
مے کشی سے انہیں نہیں پرہیز
بادہ خواری کا شغل گھر گھر ہے
اور تاڑی تو شیر مادر ہے
پہلے پاسی چمار پیتے تھے
مردم بے وقار پیتے تھے
اب تو اہل علوم پیتے ہیں
ماحیان رسوم پیتے ہیں
