زندگی کیا ہے جو دل ہو تشنۂ ذوق وفا
یعنی یہ پردہ تو اٹھ سکتا ہے آسانی کے ساتھ
گفتگوئے صورت و معنی ہے عنوان حیات
کھیلتے ہیں وہ مری فطرت کی حیرانی کے ساتھ
تم نے ہر ذرے میں برپا کر دیا طوفان شوق
اک تبسم اس قدر جلووں کی طغیانی کے ساتھ
دل کی آبادی ہے اخترؔ دل کی بربادی کا نام
اک تعلق ہے مری ہستی کو ویرانی کے ساتھ
