زندگی جبر ہے اور جبر کے آثار نہیں
ہائے اس قید کو زنجیر بھی درکار نہیں
بے ادب گریۂ محرومئ دیدار نہیں
ورنہ کچھ در کے سوا حاصل دیوار نہیں
آسماں بھی ترے کوچہ کی زمیں ہے لیکن
وہ زمیں جس پہ ترا سایۂ دیوار نہیں
ہائے دنیا وہ تری سرمہ تقاضہ آنکھیں
کیا مری خاک کا ذرہ کوئی بیکار نہیں
