ریت کی طرح کناروں پہ ہیں ڈرنے والے
موج در موج گئے پار اترنے والے
آج کانٹوں سے گریبان چھڑائیں تو سہی
لالہ و گل پہ کبھی پاؤں نہ دھرنے والے
روپ سے چھب سے پھبن سے کوئی آگاہ نہیں
نقش کار لب و عارض ہیں سنورنے والے
کوئی جینے کا سلیقہ ہو تو میں بھی جانوں
موت آسان ہے مر جاتے ہیں مرنے والے
میرے جینے کا یہ اسلوب پتہ دیتا ہے
کہ ابھی عشق میں کچھ کام ہیں کرنے والے
