دشت و صحرا اگر بسائے ہیں
ہم گلستاں میں کب سمائے ہیں
آپ نغموں کے منتظر ہوں گے
ہم تو فریاد لے کے آئے ہیں
ایک اپنا دیا جلانے کو
تم نے لاکھوں دیے بجھائے ہیں
کیا نظر آئے گا ابھی ہم کو
یک بیک روشنی میں آئے ہیں
یوں تو سارا چمن ہمارا ہے
پھول جتنے بھی ہیں پرائے ہیں
