جفا دیکھنی تھی ستم دیکھنا تھا
نصیبوں میں رنج و الم دیکھنا تھا
وہ آتے نہ آتے شب وعدہ لیکن
مجھے دے کے سر کی قسم دیکھنا تھا
خجالت ہوئی اس کے کوچہ میں کیا کیا
مجھے پہلے نقش قدم دیکھنا تھا
مجھے دیکھنی تیری ہمت تھی ساقی
بہت دیکھنا تھا نہ کم دیکھنا تھا
کٹی شام فرقت عزیزؔ آہ کیوں کر
ذرا آئینہ صبح دم دیکھنا تھا
