تری گلی میں ترے جاں نثار بیٹھے ہیں
نگاہ لطف کے امیدوار بیٹھے ہیں
زمیں پہ سر کو جھکائے ہوئے تصور میں
مثال نقش قدم خاکسار بیٹھے ہیں
نہ چھیڑ ہم کو خدا کے لئے کہ اے واعظ
ہم اپنے فعلوں سے خود شرمسار بیٹھے ہیں
فراق میں دل مضطر کا اضطراب نہ پوچھ
جگر کو تھامے ہوئے بے قرار بیٹھے ہیں
روانہ قافلے والے تو ہو چکے روشنؔ
ہم انتظار میں لیل و نہار بیٹھے ہیں
