اک عالم حیرت ہے فنا ہے نہ بقا ہے
حیرت بھی یہ حیرت ہے کہ کیا جانیے کیا ہے
سو بار جلا ہے تو یہ سو بار بنا ہے
ہم سوختہ جانوں کا نشیمن بھی بلا ہے
ہونٹوں پہ تبسم ہے کہ اک برق بلا ہے
آنکھوں کا اشارہ ہے کہ سیلاب فنا ہے
سنتا ہوں بڑے غور سے افسانۂ ہستی
کچھ خواب ہے کچھ اصل ہے کچھ طرز ادا ہے
ہے تیرے تصور سے یہاں نور کی بارش
یہ جان حزیں ہے کہ شبستان حرا ہے
